Section 2 juggernauts Burnt Hills and Shenendehowa are both 1-0. Rounding out the top 5 is Spencerport, a 39-31 winner over Brockport. The Rangers battle D2 #17 Honeoye Falls-Lima this week.

Section 8 claims 4 of the top 10 proving how deep Nassau County really is. #8 Hewlett battles Chaminade-C this week. The Flyers are coming off their tournament title at MacArthur Holiday Tournament. Indian River notched their first win as they took down the Beavers, 54-12. Niagara Falls has cracked the top 10 after winning the Starpoint Duals this past Saturday. Falls holds a 5-0 record with three of those wins coming over state ranked teams.

Section 1's Fox Lane is creeping towards the top 10, a familiar position for the foxes and Coach Rodrigues. The S1 DMT kicks off this week with the defending champs as the top seed. Starpoint drops a few spots after losses to D1 #10 Niagara Falls and D2 #12 Newfane. The 8-0 Saints from Churchville-Chili won the Sweet Home Duals and currently sit at #13. Horseheads owns wins over D2 #4 Gouverneur and HM Penfield.

Fairport provided the biggest splash in week 1 by upending Pittsford 36-26, thus landing them at #16. With the addition of the Red Raiders in this week's rankings, that makes five teams from the Rochester area (Section 5). Pittsford was dominant this past weekend claiming the Pal Mac Duals Crown. Attica-Batavia captured 8 wins in two days to win the Southtown Duals and a spot at #19. Corning opens with Elmira this week, who upended previously ranked Vestal. The Falcons from Niagara Wheatfield wrestles North Tonawanda.

Tioga is at full strength now after wrapping up the Class D Football State title. The Tigers are in action this week versus Whitney Point. Canisteo-Greenwood won the Mark Stephens Classic this past weekend defeating #3 and #4 en route to the title. The Wolverines of Bolivar Richburg stormed onto the scene and are now ranked #3 after a 5-1 performance. Gouverneur drops to #4 after losing to both C-G and B-R.

Pleasantville, like Tioga, just finished their football season as well. Ten wrestlers play football for the panthers and now take the mat as the Section 1 Dual Meet tournament kicks off this week. The Panthers are the top seed and favorites to win it all. They are on a collision course with #7 Edgemont, who currently stands at 4-1. Saranac won the Nate Wood Memorial this past weekend, besting Noble (ME) by over 100 points. Clarke and General Brown both competed at individual tournaments this weekend. The Rams finished 8th at the Battle at the Beach while the Lions finished 5th at the Andersen.

Newfane upended Iroquois at the Starpoint Duals and should be the favorites to claim the Section 6 D2 Dual Meet Title. The Panthers lone loss came to eventual champs, Niagara Falls in the finals, 42-24. Warrensburg-Bolton went 3-2 at the Ballston Spa Duals. Windsor got their first win of the year against Oneonta, 52-18. They wrestle Norwich this week.
