Hewlett dropped a hard fought dual to #2 Wantagh, 40-28, proving that the Bulldogs may be right in the mix when the Section 8 duals roll around. undefeated Long Beach gives Nassau County four teams ranked in the top 10. The Marines have some big duals coming up against D2 #14 Cold Spring Harbor and MacArthur.

Niagara Falls holds a 5 point win over #13 Starpoint. A potential rematch in the Section 6 DMT finals seems inevitable. Can Coach Hart's Spartans erase that five point deficit? Fox Lane claimed their fourth straight Section 1 Dual Meet Title. They defeated a very tough Arlington squad, 37-30. Coach Rodrigues has the Foxes connecting on all cylinders heading into the stretch run.

Look out....Suffolk County is on the rise. Historically, Section 11 hasn't fared well at the state duals. Rocky Point back in 2018 made the semi-finals. The eastern side of the island has three teams ranked in the top 20 in week #4. Islip and Miller Place are set to square off this Wednesday in a massive showdown! Newburgh comes in at #20. The Goldbacks look to keep the momentum going as the Section 9 Duals approach in early January.

Keeping the S11 train rolling, #21 Connetquot is unblemished. Corning, also undefeated, squeaked by Union Endicott by 2. Attica-Batavia lost their first dual against D2 #11 Honeoye Falls-Lima. Shaker is quietly sitting at 3-0 and an always tough Lancaster team rounds out the top 25. The Legends plan to challenge Niagara Falls and Starpoint this season out west in Section 6.

Tioga flexed their muscles this past weekend at the Lee Van Slyke Duals by not only winning the team title but besting D1 #3 Burnt Hills, 36-27. The Tigers keep a strong hold on the top ranking. The Redskins suffered their first loss of the season to the red hot Fairport Red Raiders, 36-25. Newfane jumps to #5 after Peru and Pleasantville both took dives to intersectional opponents Nanuet and Saranac respectively.

Edgemont claimed the Section 1 D2 dual meet title over defending champions Nanuet, 39-24. The Panthers will be making their first trip to Syracuse in late January. Saranac proved that they are the front runner in Section 7 this past week. They dismantled Peru 53-19 which including four pins and a tech. General Brown finished fourth as a team at the North Country Invitational this weekend. They look for their fifth win this week against Lowville. Warrensburg cracks the top 10 this week after sweeping the Battle in the Valley duals. All of their 14 wins this season have come by at least 27 points. Coach Trepasso has the Burghers rolling and are considered the favorite to represent Section 2 at the state duals.

HFL notted their win-loss to 1 a piece with a win over previously unbeaten Attica-Batavia. The Cougars battle division 1 teams Canandaigua and Brockport the next 2 weeks. The Thunder suffered their first two losses of the season...to #1 Tioga and D1 #3 Burnt Hills. Coach Bush's squad will rebound as they look ahead to a Section 3 finals rematch from 2020 with #8 General Brown, which was won by the Thunder in convincing fashion. Long Island's two best division 2 teams battle to a 36-35 score with The Seahawks of Cold Spring Harbor taking the win. The victory jumps CSH 11 spots from #25 to #14. Shoreham took out previously unbeaten Port Jefferson by a slim margin, 33-31.

Camden's dual meet season picks up after the new year against #23 Canastota and #12 Central Valley. Port Jefferson suffered their first blemish of the season to SWR. Their rematch should come in the Section 11 dual meet finals. Section 6 claims their third and fourth team into the top 25. Defending NYS Champions, Falconer, should not be counted out nor should the Chautauqua Lake. Like section 5, the far west corner of the state will be a battle for supremacy.

Windsor lost a close one to D1 HM Chenango Forks 39-32. Hornell had a rough go this past weekend, dropping three matches, bringing their season record to 11 wins against 6 losses. The Red Raiders were without four starters. Section 5 is shaping up to be a dandy! Hornell has went toe to toe with #3 Bolivar Richburg earlier this year, losing 37-30. Pal Mac topped Wayne for their sixth win of the season. Coxsackie-Athens is off to a 6-1 start with their only defeat coming at the hands of #10 Warrensburg.
