Horseheads is the favorites to win another Section 4 crown however do not count out Chenango Forks. Forks upset the Blue Raiders back in 2019 to claim their first S4 title. Is Brentwood back to its powerful supremacy from the 80's? As deep as Section 11 is, I feel that Brentwood and Miller Place are a step above the rest and "should" meet in the S11 finals.

The Generals and Marines will join the likes of Manhasset and Hewlett as they look to dethrone S8 juggernauts Wantagh (#2) and Massapequa (#8). Canisteo Greenwood punched their ticket to the state duals this past week upending the fast rising HFL cougars, 39-24. The Redskins seem to be the top contenders in challenging #1 Tioga for the D2 state crown. Saranac jumps to #4 followed by General Brown at 5. The Lions has "three" losses due to an ineligible wrestler. Due to the technicality, GB finds themselves as the #4 seed at the Section 3 Duals and most likely a date with Top Seed and defending champions Central Valley Academy.

13. Cold Spring Harbor-8 (10-4)
14. Shoreham Wading River-11 (9-4)

Tough break for Coach Bernaducci's Pleasantville Panthers. Due to their successful football campaign, many wrestlers weren't eligible for the Section 1 Duals thus leaving them a bit shorthanded. Fortunately for Edgemont, they took advantage of the opportunity and claimed their first title back in December defeating defending champs, Nanuet. Pleasantville defeated Edgemont 44-27 last week. In Suffolk, John Glenn lost a 7 point match to Shoreham Wading River, who only beat Port Jefferson by 2. Glenn took out Port by 20.
