Division 1
#1 Davison (2)
#2 Detroit CC (1)
#3 Hartland (3)
#4 Oxford (4)
#5 Grand Rapids FHC (6)
#6 Macomb Dakota (7)
#7 Holt (5)
#8 Temperance Bedford (8)
#9 Grandville (9)
#10 Clarkston (NR)
Previously Ranked
Brighton (10)
Notes
#1 Davison – Not much to be said here that hasn’t already. The Cardinals unseated DCC in their own gym, and they are the new #1.
#4 Oxford – I’m giving the Wildcats some benefit of the doubt here, but this is a pretty soft #4, and quite frankly there are just not many proved teams in D1 right now. Even with a few starters out, a 1-point win over D2-unranked Clio last weekend is quite troublesome, so they’ll need to step it up at the Gibby Duals on Saturday.
#6 Macomb Dakota – Hard to know what to make of the Cougars right now. After beating Holt by nearly 16 on Saturday I was ready to push them all the way to #4. However, after nearly being upset by unranked Southgate Anderson last night (40-36), I am going to pump the breaks and see how the results balance out.
#10 Clarkston – There is a lot of parity in D1 this year, and tons of teams are on the precipice of the top 10. Brighton falls out due after a loss to Rochester Wednesday, and the Wolves step in after winning last weekend’s Rocket Duals. In the tournament finals Clarkston won by over 25 against John Glenn, and Glenn defeated Southgate Anderson earlier in the day. As previously mentioned Southgate nearly knocked off #6 Dakota last night, so it’s clear the margin of separation is pretty slim.
Division 2
#1 Lowell (1)
#2 St. Johns (2)
#3 Warren Lincoln (3)
#4 Stevensville Lakeshore (4)
#5 Gaylord (5)
#6 Niles (6)
#7 Bay City Western (7)
#8 Greenville (8)
#9 Tecumseh (9)
#10 Clio (UR)
Previously Ranked
Ortonville Brandon (10)
Notes
#1 Lowell – The Red Arrows maintain their spot for now, but St. Johns looked awesome last weekend. At this point I see the 2 teams as essentially #1A and #1B.
#3 Warren Lincoln – The Abes are still your #3, but a season ending injury suffered by preseason #1 Jelani Embree is a devastating loss for the team.
#4 Stevensville Lakeshore – Only 4 Lancers wrestled in EK this weekend, so I’m not going to penalize their low finish. That being said they will be on short notice moving forward. Not to mention that they suffered a blow with a likely season-ending injury of their own: preseason #8 Aaron Ward.
#10 Clio – After coming within a point of knocking off D1 #4 Oxford, the Mustangs jump Ortonville Brandon to make their 1st rankings appearance in quite some time.
Division 3
#1 Richmond (1)
#2 Dundee (2)
#3 Allegan (3)
#4 Grand Rapids CC (4)
#5 Swan Valley (5)
#6 Manchester (7)
#7 Birch Run (10)
#8 Lake Fenton (8)
#9 Remus Chippewa Hills (9)
#10 Caro (6)
Notes
#3 Allegan – The Tigers stay #3 for the time being, but after seeing their opening weekend lineup I am really liking their state title chances.
#7 Birch Run – After losing half their lineup to graduation the Panthers started the season at #10, but this weekend they made it clear that they aren’t going anywhere with a 20 point defeat of Chippewa Hills.
#8 Lake Fenton – The Blue Devils hold their spot for at least one more week, but there are still some serious question marks in the lineup, and the fact that they didn’t enter anyone at 130, 140 or 145 in Hartland last weekend does not bode well for the future.
#10 Caro – The Tigers take a tumble after losing by 3 on Saturday to a Saline team that went on to lose to Plymouth, another unranked team, by over 30 points. With Mason County Central coming off a strong 1st week Caro is on the verge of falling out of the top 10.
Division 4
#1 Hudson (1)
#2 New Lothrop (3)
#3 Hesperia (2)
#4 Lawton (4)
#5 Carson City Crystal (5)
#6 Schoolcraft (7)
#7 Blanchard Montabella (6)
#8 Addison (8)
#9 Decatur (10)
#10 Sand Creek (NR)
Previously Ranked
Niles Brandywine (9)
Notes
#3 Hesperia – The Panthers drop a spot after news that they will be without anticipated bookends Gowens and Conkle for the season.
#6 Schoolcraft – The Eagles posted a very nice win over a tough D1 Portage Northern team last night, and they jump Montabella, who fell 40-39 to D2-unranked Petoskey on Saturday.
#8 Addison – The Panthers clawed their way to a 30-30 criteria win over Springport to hang onto their #8 spot.
#10 Sand Creek – The Aggies narrowly edge Kent City and Springport to stake their claim to the final spot. They step in for Niles Brandywine, who struggled quite a bit and took 3 losses last weekend, but were without several anticipated starters.

Nice job, as always !!
I think D1 is gonna be a nail biter all the way down the line for everyone who isn't a Cardinal or a Shamrock....
#'s 3-10 could be anyone's, on any given mat...
The good news is they also have scheduled each other quite a bit, so the picture should clear significantly by February. The key will be focusing on and beating the ones you can to shore up seeding in Battle Creek....and that's why this is the greatest sport on the planet !! Gonna be a FUN RIDE 'til we get there … Read More
