Division 1
#1 Davison (1)
#2 Detroit CC (2)
#3 Hartland (3)
#4 Grand Rapids FHC (5)
#5 Macomb Dakota (6)
#6 Holt (7)
#7 Oxford (4)
#8 Temperance Bedford (8)
#9 Grandville (9)
#10 Clarkston (10)
#7 Oxford – The only real mover in D1 this week, the Wildcats slide 3 spots after losing to D2 Niles and Tecumseh this week by identical 39-30 scores. From a lineup perspective I am guessing some guys will be at more optimal weights for the latter stages of the season, but for the most part Oxford’s top wrestlers were on the mat for both losses.
#10 Clarkston – The Wolves hang onto their spot. They did technically lose to unranked Waterford Kettering and Grand Blanc teams a week ago, but they were down 5 starters or so with a skeleton lineup.
Division 2
#1 Lowell (1)
#2 St. Johns (2)
#3 Niles (6)
#4 Bay City Western (7)
#5 Gaylord (5)
#6 Greenville (8)
#7 Tecumseh (9)
#8 Clio (10)
#9 Ortonville Brandon (NR)
#10 Byron Center (NR)
Formerly Ranked
Warren Lincoln (3)
Stevensville Lakeshore (4)
#2 St. Johns – Coming off a big win over DCC, I am tempted to push the Red Wings to #1, but for the moment I think it is still Lowell’s spot. Last weekend the Red Arrows took nationally ranked Chicago Marist down to the last match, and on Sunday I will have a much better idea of just how good they are following a dual with Davison this weekend.
#3 Niles – The Vikings get a nice thanks to a big win over Oxford, and are also primary beneficiaries of the Warren Lincoln/Stevensville Lakeshore fallout.
#4 Bay City Western – The Warriors just continue to climb. Their most recent feat came in an 18-point win over Gaylord, and that is with returning state runner-up Chris Schoennher not due back until January!
#7 Tecumseh – The Indians get a nice a boost, and appear stronger than initially expected after big wins over D1 Oxford and Brighton.
#9 Ortonville Brandon – After a weeklong hiatus the Blackhawk’s return to the rankings after big drops from Warren Lincoln and Stevensville Lakeshore.
#10 Byron Center – A lot of different ways I could go here, but the Bulldogs have been very solid thus far, so they return the rankings for the time being.
Warren Lincoln – It started with a season ending injury to #1 Embree, and since then several other Abes have been taken off the mat due to injuries and other issues. Unfortunately, due to unforeseeable circumstances their current lineup is a far cry from what was expect preseason, and they fall out after losing to Warren Woods Tower.
Stevensville Lakeshore – Another lineup that is struggling to fill holes, the Lancers are off to a pretty rocky start, and they take a big tumble after losses to several unranked teams including Portage Northern, Portage Central, Vicksburg and Lakewood.
Division 3
#1 Richmond (1)
#2 Dundee (2)
#3 Allegan (3)
#4 Grand Rapids CC (4)
#5 Swan Valley (5)
#6 Birch Run (7)
#7 Manchester (6)
#8 Remus Chippewa Hills (9)
#9 Lake Fenton (8)
#10 Allendale (NR)
Formerly Ranked
Caro (10)
#6 Birch Run – The Panthers continue to roll. They are off to an awesome start, and jump Manchester following a big win over D1 Macomb Dakota.
#8 Remus Chippewa Hills – The Warriors also jump a spot, with their rise coming as the result of a win over Lake Fenton.
#10 Allendale – The Falcons are off to an excellent start, and it’s enough for them to push out Caro and make their debut in this year’s rankings. So far, Allendale’s only have against GR CC and Hesperia with both duals being decided in the final match. They also have an impressive win over Mason County Central on the season’s opening weekend.
Division 4
#1 Hudson (1)
#2 New Lothrop (2)
#3 Hesperia (3)
#4 Lawton (4)
#5 Carson City Crystal (5)
#6 Schoolcraft (6)
#7 Blanchard Montabella (7)
#8 Addison (8)
#9 Decatur (9)
#10 Sand Creek (10)
#8 Addison – Lots of activity for the Panthers as of late. Over the past week they had an extremely impressive win over D1 Anchor Bay, and also lost handily to D3 Manchester. I’m not quite sure what to make of this team, as they also went down to criteria with Springport. For now I’m going to leave them here as things play out, but this may be too low.

Saw Niles up close and personal last week. They are solid up and down the line up and very much deserve that recognition. Good call, guys.
