If you are not a fan of bold predictions and educated 'guesses', then this bracket breakdown is NOT for you.
The OWN staff has this bracket going about 28 1/2 different ways, but at the end we look for a Schopp/Graff final.
Schopp has a calm demeanor about himself when it comes down to winning close matches and already owns a win this season over the emotional charged Tony Ramos.
Although Colon looks to be there favorite here, it could be the senior Graff who is extremely solid in all three positions. If he can weather the storm from Colon and stay out of his positioning, Graff can find himself in the finals.
For no particular reason, we see Colon as a vulnerable #1, but again, we will not be surprised to see him bring a title back to Camp Schwab.
Mango and Quiroga are huge mysteries in this class, they have been masterful at times and unpredictable many other instances. Quiroga had a great Big 10 tournament, but runs into a tough minded Soto in round 2. If the Purdue senior makes it past Soto, he'll likely run into Schopp.
Ramos is desperately seeking his first national championship after near misses. If Ramos can keep his true Iowa style going and not go down by more then a few, he is also easily standing on top of the podium Saturday night in Oklahoma City.
Look for DiJulius to return to early season form and make AA honors along with Thorn.
Realistically there are about 5 or 6 potential final match-ups, but we are calling for a Graff/Schopp class with Edinboro crowning another champion.
OWN Prediction: AJ Schopp, Edinboro
Other Brackets: 125 / 141 / 149 / 157 / 165 / 174 / 184 / 197
