Lucas Hall has had a remarkable summer of competition. Make it a remarkable year for that matter. It has been a year of a steady rise to the top of the national ranks.
RJ Boudro, Hall's high school coach for the past two seasons pointed out that Lucas is very young and has huge upside. He just turned 16. He won the state championship this year. He beat a very good wrestler in Ian Parker of St. Johns. He placed third at the Flo Nationals beating highly ranked national wrestlers to do so. He wrapped up in Las Vegas at the Ultimates Championships (which is part of the UFC's International Fight Week) at the Mandalay Bay winning his weight class and going undefeated in dual meet competition. For this he was named one of three "Ultimate Wrestlers and was presented a belt in the UFC's TUF 19 Octagon in front of a sell out crowd.
Lucas is going to compete at the Vegas Freakshow on November 1&2 among the nation's top wrestlers. The UFC is sponsoring the event and will recognize the top wrestler in the Ultimates Division and will invite them back to compete in next summer's Ultimate Wrestler Finale which will be hosted again at the Mandalay Bay Casino and Resort.
