Las Vegas, Nevada - The best wrestlers from all over the United States will gather Saturday and Sunday inside the Pavilion Ballroom of the Rio Hotel and Casino, and try to become a Freak show champion. With 2,562 registered wrestlers so far, The Freak Show has become one of the biggest and toughest pre-season events in the nation. Not just in the high school division, but as well with the women’s and youth division.
“The main goal of NUWAY staff and I, is to get the best competition available in all the divisions for our wrestlers in attendance”. Said NUWAY CEO, Dave Dean “We feel that they should get their money’s worth and wrestle the best competition not typically seen in their respective states.”
Many wrestlers in attendance are Fargo, Rocky Mountain, Reno Worlds, NHSCA and state champions. As well as many state qualifiers and youth wrestlers with outstanding wrestling credentials. Currently, Justin Mejia from California (115 pounds), Anthony Hernandez from California (128 pounds), Israel Saavedra from California (133 pounds), Tristan Rifanburg from New York (148 pounds), Anthony Valencia from California (174 pounds) and Mark Hall from Minnesota (174 pounds), are back to try and win another Ultimate Division title.
All wrestling fans around the nation are eager to see a possible third meeting between the No. 1 ranked wrestler in the nation at 170 pounds, Mark Hall, and the No. 2 wrestler in the same weight, Anthony Valencia. Both of these gladiators met two-weeks ago in the WNO#1 event sponsored by Flo wrestling. Hall won the match with a 10-2 majored decision over Valencia. Valencia is looking forward to making history at the Freak Show and become the first ever four-time champion.
“It will be a great honor to become part of history in this great event and win my four title.” Said Anthony Valencia.
Meanwhile, Mark Hall will be eyeing his third title. Last year both Valencia and Hall met in the finals of the tournament with Valencia winning the match in overtime.
The finals will be streamed live by FloWrestling
