Lowell beat Brighton 30-25, so this week's rankings should be interesting to see.
They won 8-6 on the match swing, and I only imagine that IF they'd have had Dean(who will be in for Team States) it would've been a 9-5 swing and a 34/36-20/22ish type score. Impressive showing after the faltering from last week.

When the Wildcats shock the world and beat the Shamrocks Thursday, and then beat Anchor Bay and Dakota at the Macomb / Oakland Duals on Saturday, THEN it WILL get interesting !!!!!!!! ;-)
You have basically made it impossible for Oxford to shock the world with all the support you throw at them.
Well, the reason St. Johns jumped Lowell is because St. Johns BEAT Hartland. Do I think that this ranking will hold or not? Only the battlegrounds of Battle Creek will tell. If only they wrestled each other inseason like they have in years past at individual tourneys or an actual dual.

Lowell will get its chance against St.Johns at some point or another. Until then I think Steve is doing a great job.

I think its a load of crap that st johns pulled ahead of lowell. Lowell has beaten some of the best in state and out of state and we lose to a division 1 school by 2 points and we drop? Sounds like a love fest for st johns.

Not to take anything away from DCC, they are a great team, but Balabani (P15 #4 / D1 #2 @ 215) was not in Dakota's line up and a pin by him would have been a 12 point swing in favor of Dakota. Nice job by the boys of both teams regardless.

Steve B.
I agree with the premise of your point go out and wrestle and these things will take care of themselves. I disagree with your issues on the fact that these rankings don't matter. Steve Widzinski is fast becoming the high School wrestling expert in the state of Michigan just like Mick Mccabe is the high school football expert/guru. I for one think the forum and heaing peoples opinions on different teams and then hearing Steve W.'s opinion are making wrestling even better. In wrestling … Read More

Congrats to Manchester, that is quite a showing. By the way there is no way for "ALL" to be happy.....LOL
Crazy how Ida goes to hudson out scores Allegan and still no love for the team. What does it take I wonder, last time it was that you don't weigh individual tourny's as much as duals which you get no argument from me. But, when Allegan moves into the 9 spot and your reasoning is because of their performance at Hudson. Hmmmmm. Ida placed11th Allegan placed 14th just curious as to the process behind your thoughts. Thanks in advance and keep up the great work. We all appreciate all you do for this … Read More

It's a good thing these rankings are archived on this site. Based on what I see is that Allegan was ranked #7 in weeks 1 & 2 and fell to #9 after week 3 and is still in that position. Has Ida beat any of the top 10 teams in a dual, not individual tournament, that would warrant a ranking? It's very difficult to find results, as many teams don't report them. Steve can only run with the information that he finds and until someone tells him differently, it is what it is.
Steve Bushcemi, "You do realize this is a comment board, right"???
That being said, at no time was my comment derogatory toward Steve W. or his rankings. On the contrary, I commended him on all he does for this sport..... I would like to remind you that this is an open forum for us to discuss our thoughts. I believe that is why there is a comment section. As long as the conversation remains tactful and friendly. Ida had only 6 wrestlers put points on the board as did Allegan. Steve B. to … Read More
