Wrestler of the Year
Madison Nieuwenhuis (Plainwell) – 105
Nieuwenhuis joined elite company by winning her fourth state title last month, putting together an undefeated high school career against other girls. On the national scene, Nieuwenhuis has won just about everything there is to win. Some of those big accomplishments include Super 32 champ, Fargo champ, a pair of top-4 finishes at the U17 World Team Trials, and she even won some college tournaments while still in high school, including the prestigious Midlands tournament. Projected to wrestle at 103lbs for the Iowa Hawkeyes, Nieuwenhuis is one of the biggest recruits in the country this year.
