Junior Men
Anthony Valls (Chenango Valley, 126lbs): Valls is a podium threat across both styles but does more of his damage on the Greco side. In 2025 he made the blood round of Fargo in 16U Cadet Greco before ultimately breaking through last year when he finished 5th in 16U Cadet Greco. Surprisingly he’s only registered for Greco right now, but that could always change.
Brennan Sprague (New York Military Academy, 126lbs): The second of three “Greco whisperers” is breakout star Brennan Sprague. He makes his fourth trip to Fargo after a remarkable year where he won a state title from the 10 seed and earned NHSCA Senior All-American honors. Last year at Fargo he pulled off a crazy win over nationally ranked Titan Friederichs (Minnesota) in Greco and is a podium threat this year.
Jake Nieto (Massapequa, 138lbs): The third Greco whisperer in Jake Nieto will make his return to Fargo after placing 6th in Cadet Greco a year ago. In 2025 he would win nine matches across both styles, and recently had a solid performance at U17 World Team Trials where he went 5-2 in freestyle and 3-2 in greco. He’d also place 2nd in Freestyle and 3rd in Greco at Northeast Regionals. He looks primed for a deep run in the Fargo Dome this year.
Landyn Shaffer (Deposit-Hancock, 144lbs): Shaffer returns to the Fargo Dome after making a run to the finals a year ago from the 22 seed. Throughout that run he was consistent in counteroffense, continuously spamming downblock-reattacks and downblock-run the corner. Since then he’s become a mainstay in the national rankings and is a perennial top 75 recruit in the country. Although he’s a first year junior, he’ll come prepared to prove the doubters wrong.
Anthony Severino (New York Military Academy, 144lbs): After competing in Fargo in 2024, Severino missed Fargo in 2025, and is now back for one last ride here in 2026. He recently beat Fargo All-American Jake Nieto in freestyle at the Blatnick and made the podium in both styles at Northeast Regionals (3rd in greco, 5th in freestyle). Be on the lookout for the NYMA postgraduate when he toes the line this weekend.
Samson McKissick-Staley (Pittsford, 150lbs): The Cornell commit and top 250 graduating senior in the nation gets his last lap around the Fargo Dome this week and looks to go out with a bang. McKissick-Staley is one of the most seasoned wrestlers on this roster and is on the prowl for one of the few things he has not gotten yet…Fargo All-American honors. He’s also an honorary Greco whisperer having one nine Greco matches inside the Fargo Dome. Just a year ago he went 5-2 as a first year junior in freestyle and 4-2 in greco. Everyone here back in New York State will be cheering for Sammy to get it done this year!
Maverick Beckwith (Norwich, 157lbs): After missing weight in Fargo last year, he bumped up to 144lbs and still made the podium with a 7th place finish. He’d follow that up with a Grappler Fall Classic finals appearance in the fall, and would eventually become a top 125 recruit in the nation before announcing his commitment to Army. Beckwith should be ready to rock once again this year as he recently finished 9-0 at NHSCA Duals and knocked off former Cadet All-American Nate Keller (New Jersey) in the process. He’s been in and out of the national rankings as of late, but with a solid showing in the Fargo Dome will surely make sure he stays there.
Wyatt Boice (Minisink Valley, 175lbs): Perhaps one of the more underestimated wrestlers on the national circuit right now, Boice will enter Fargo as a first year junior and in his first Fargo appearance. Already an NHSCA All-American and Grappler Fall Classic placer, Boice is poised to make a run in North Dakota.
Cadet Men
Brody O’Hern (Chenango Forks, 94lbs): O’Hern will surprise people being down at 94lbs and finally being a full size wrestler at a weight (for once)! He went 2-2 at Junior Duals while wrestling kids who were junior and graduating seniors at 100lbs. He wrestled U15 U.S. Open Champ Jace Rooney to a 9-4 match at the Blatnick as well. Expecting great things from O’Hern this week!
Spencer Lee (James Madison, 113lbs): The #1 overall incoming freshman in the country will make his Fargo debut and is what many would consider to be a “lock” to earn All-American honors in the tournament, and many also consider him a front-runner to win the dang thing. Fresh off a U15 U.S. Open title at 51kg, he’s primed for a run inside the Fargo Dome.
Xavier Seabury (New York Military Academy, 120lbs): Seabury is a top 125 recruit in the nation who broke out last year after winning the U15 U.S. Open in freestyle. At Fargo he made the Round of 32 in freestyle before dropping two consecutive matches, and in greco he went 4-2. He recently won Northeast Regionals in both styles where he notched wins over Jack Stonebraker (Pennsylvania) who is the #8 P4P wrestler in the Class of 2030. Stonebraker just went untouched at 16U National Duals going a combined 13-0. Seabury returns now as a second year Cadet and is a serious contender to win the dang thing this time around in both styles.
Matt Peterson (Islip, 138lbs): A top 50 recruit in the Class of 2029, Peterson recently doubled up at the U15 U.S. Open and earned podium finishes in both freestyle and greco. To add to that, a year ago he went a combined 16-2 at 14U National Duals. Now a first year Cadet and riding some momentum into July, Peterson is a serious podium threat (with some considering him a title contender) this week.
Luca Turano (North Babylon, 190lbs): Turano finished 4th as a freshman at the Division I State Tournament and recently doubled up at Northeast Regionals with a 2nd place finish in freestyle and 3rd place finish in greco. This will be his first Fargo appearance and we think he will make a big splash on the national scene this week! Having already notched out-of-state wins over multiple state medalists at NHSCA Nationals this spring, the proof is in the pudding.
Dominic Darch (St. Francis, 215lbs): A top 30 recruit in the Class of 2029, Darch has already competed against some of the best big boys in the country. He wrestled tough against Devin Downes, who was the favorite to win Fargo a year ago according to MatScouts in the junior division. Darch recently made the semifinals of Northeast Regionals before losing to Sleepy Hollow native (now at Blair Academy and competing for Team New Jersey) TJ Kellas 7-4 and defaulting to 6th. Already a multiple time NHSCA All-American and Grappler Fall Classic placer, Darch is a favorite to make the podium this year.
