Junior Girls
Jasmine Brucato (Alexander, 100lbs): Brucato is fresh off a state title and is currently ranked inside the top 15 in the country at 100lbs. She went 2-2 at U17 Women’s Nationals in the spring and won the Blatnick shortly after. A year ago she put together a solid 4-2 showing in Cadet Freestyle and has looked to hit her stride in recent months.
Gabi Severin (Bethpage, 120lbs): Severin recently holds a win over Fargo National Finalist Gigi Sullivan and is currently ranked inside the top 10 in the nation at 120lbs. The Cowgirls commit went 3-2 all the way up in the U23 division at Women’s Nationals and went 2-2 in the U20 division. She also recently finished with runner-up honors at Northeast Regionals. A year ago at Fargo, Severin was a first year junior and went on a run to the quarterfinals before dropping a match to eventual finalist Savannah Witt. She’d drop an 8-8 heartbreaker in the blood round to fall short of earning All-American honors. Now back for her last “rodeo” before heading off to Okie State, she’s ready to end her Fargo run on a high note.
Sara Pauls (Minisink Valley, 125lbs): Pauls has been a mainstay on the national circuit for awhile now and is always at the big tournaments. She’s consistently hovered in the mid 15’s to mid 20’s in the national rankings and is always a podium threat. During the regular season she knocked off Sara McLaughlin (Choate Rosemary) at Eastern States, and McLaughlin was ranked inside the top 20 according to Sports Illustrated at the time. She also beat Reese Adams (Calhoun) in the New York state finals, and in the finals of the Blatnick. In between both of those runs Adams knocked off nationally ranked girls at U20 Nationals, a testament to Pauls abilities to hang with the best. Pauls returns to Fargo after a 5-2 outing a year ago as a second year Cadet, and will now scrap in the junior division this year.
Reese Adams (Calhoun, 130lbs): After a breakout year where she made the state finals as a senior, the Lehigh commit has now found herself in the national rankings after impressive national performances. Adams made the blood round of U20 Women’s Nationals, finished 5th at the Girls High School Showcase at the U.S. Open, finished 2nd to Sara Pauls at the Blatnick, and just finished 6th at Northeast Regionals. She continues to prove she’s at the top of her game going into Fargo, now it’s time to see if she can make her way onto another podium and continue her impressive run.
Haley Gonzales (Hicksville, 135lbs): The champ is back! Gonzales is New York’s last Cadet Girls freestyle champ (2024) and is now up to the junior division after she did not compete at Fargo in 2025. Gonzales is currently ranked in the low 20’s in the national rankings, and perhaps some of that has to do with her absence at the big ticket tournaments over the last year and therefore has been “forgotten” by our fellow ranking outlets. She just went 8-0 at the Bison Duals, teched or pinned her way through Northeast Regionals, and beat Fargo All-American Caitlin Maragioglio at the Blatnick. She’s ready to rock and in our eyes is a sure-threat to win the dang thing!
Caitlin Maragioglio (Bellport, 135lbs): Maragioglio returns to Fargo after a spectacular performance a year ago where she won four straight matches on the backside of the bracket to make the consolation semifinals, ultimately finishing 6th. Since then she’s been a staple in the national rankings and currently sits at #28 at 135lbs. Following a third place finish at the state tournament with her only loss being 4-1 to Fargo champ Haley Gonzales, she finished 2nd at the Blatnick once again to Gonzales. At Women’s National Duals she’d have one heck of a tournament going 6-0 in freestyle and 6-1 in Greco. Her staple wins would come over Kiyah Jeske (Arizona) and Kimber Alford (Alabama), both of whom were nationally ranked. A first year junior, Maragioglio looks ready to rock once again this year!
Ella Gregg (Niskayuna-Schenectady, 140lbs): Gregg has now finished 3rd in back to back trips to the New York State tournament. Similar to the aforementioned Paddock, Gregg has also seemingly turned a corner since the conclusion of the high school season. She won the Blatnick before traveling to Northeast Regionals where she also won that! In the finals of Northeast Regionals she beat Angelina Spachman who was an honorable mention in the national rankings at the time. To wrap up her spring and summer circuit thus far, Gregg recently went a combined 12-1 at Women’s National Duals. Still not recognized in the national rankings, we expect her to be one of Fargo’s “breakout stars”!
Victoria Alvarado (Warwick, 145lbs): Seemingly flying under the radar in the national rankings as honorable mention, Alvarado is a 2x returning Fargo All-American. Last year she made the semifinals by gutting out four straight wins where each match went the distance, scores being 9-3, 5-0, 4-2, and 8-2. She will travel back west to the Fargo Dome as a first year junior at 145lbs. Alvarado recently finished 2nd at Northeast Regionals, with her only loss coming to top ranked Belicia Manuel. The first year junior will look to make it three consecutive years in a row that she’s on the podium.
Aaliyah Morrow (Bellport, 145lbs): Morrow won a state title at 155lbs earlier in the year before dropping down to 145lbs for the spring and summer circuit. In doing so she beat another New York state titlist in Amelia Toomey (Tioga) at the Blatnick, and then made the semifinals of Northeast Regionals before dropping a match to top ranked Belicia Manuel and defaulting out of the tournament. Seen as a “dark horse” to some, the Sioux Falls commit will be a threat to anyone who toes the line with her in Fargo.
Ana Carolina Lockard (Brooklyn Tech, 155lbs): Lockard returns to Fargo after a 4-2 showing a year ago as a first year junior. During the regular season she’d make the finals of Eastern States with wins over former state finalist Jaida Macaluso and state medalist Lily Hyde before dropping her finals match to #4 ranked Ciyanna Okocha of Wyoming Seminary. Lockard also locked up NHSCA All-American honors in the spring, and won the Blatnick shortly after. She is currently an honorable mention in the national rankings.
Peyton Mullin (Dundee, 235lbs): Mullin returns to Fargo as a 2x All-American with two sixth place finishes to her credit. A year ago she made the semifinals with straight falls before she was beating Aniyah Smith 8-0, and got thrown and pinned. Smith eventually won a title at her weight. Recently she finished 3rd at the Blatnick with her sole loss coming 8-0 to Mya Brandenburg (Michigan). Mullin currently sits as an honorable mention in the national rankings, and will be looking to make some noise as a first year junior this year!
Cadet Girls
Angelina Ramirez (Bronx Science, 95lbs): Ramirez went unbeaten in the PSAL during the regular season before winning the Blatnick and placing 4th at Northeast Regionals. At Women’s National she went a remarkable 7-1 in freestyle and 7-0 in greco while wrestling at both 95lbs and 100lbs for New York. Currently ranked 25th in the nation, and in our opinion severely “underrated”, we expect her to make some noise in her first Fargo appearance!
Lorilye Beardsley (Avon-Geneseo, 95lbs): After an impressive campaign as an 8th grader where she finished 3rd at the New York State tournament, Beardsley has since been “lights out” and is ranked as high as 19th in the nation as an incoming freshman! She pinned or teched her way through the Blatnick before finishing 2nd at Northeast Regionals, with her finals loss coming 5-1 to #10 Mia Nesbitt (Pennsylvania). Making her Fargo debut this week, expect her to make some serious noise.
Laila Builes (Port Chester, 115lbs): After winning a state title in 2025 over nationally ranked Jasmine Brucato, she’d follow that up with a runner-up finish to Isabella Phelps in 2026 Since the state tournament she’s been quiet on the freestyle circuit with her only appearance coming at Northeast Regionals. She finished 3rd there and will be ready to roll!
Gigi Sullivan (New York Military Academy, 120lbs): Sullivan made a finals appearance a year ago as a first year Cadet and will look to finish the job this time around for New York. Sullivan was registered for Central Regionals but ultimately did not compete, and has been training throughout the summer. She was still coming back from an elbow injury at the state tournament in February, so she could’ve been making sure she was back up to speed before competing again. Nonetheless, Gigi is a title threat wherever she goes and Fargo is no different!
Noli Paddock (Chautauqua Lake, 135lbs): Paddock finished her freshman season as a state runner-up to Amelia Toomey in what was an incredibly entertaining finals bout. Since then, Paddock has seemingly turned a corner and has been wrestling “up a notch.” She finished 6th at U17 Pan Am Trials, won the Blatnick, and dominated her way through Northeast Regionals. Most recently she went 7-1 at the Bison Duals, with her lone loss being a tight 6-3 loss to Fargo champ Haley Gonzales. Paddock returns to the Fargo Dome as a second year Cadet, and went 3-2 a year ago in the same age and weight class. She is currently listed as an honorable mention in the national rankings.
Delaney Dixon (Windsor, 145lbs): Dixon welcomed herself to the national rankings with an impressive win over 2x Fargo All-American Victoria Alvarado (Warwick) in the state finals earlier this year. Since then she’s been relatively quiet this spring and summer. She defaulted out of Women’s Nationals after dropping her first match, then made the semifinals of Northeast Regionals and defaulted to 6th from there. Perhaps she’s been nursing an injury, but as always, she’s a threat to do some damage in Fargo. She’s currently ranked 30th in the nation by Sports Illustrated.
Ava Guilmette (Shenendehowa, 155lbs): Last year Guilmette was ranked as high as 4th in the nation heading into Fargo and got injured in either her Round of 16 or Quarterfinal match. She ultimately injury defaulted out of Fargo and was completely taken out of the national rankings, something we had privately advocated against to national ranking outlets citing her injury and laundry list of accomplishments. After that tournament Guilmette was taking some time off to heal from her injury and we did not see much of her until the high school season where she won back to back titles. Following her second state title, she placed 6th at U17 Pan Am Trials and went untouched at Women’s Nationals Duals, either pinning or teching her way through the tournament. Guilmette is now ranked 20th in the country at 155lbs, however, she was ranked 7th in the country at 170lbs before making the drop down. Expecting a great run and some “revenge” for Guilmette this week!
Ava Gregg (Shaker, 207lbs): The #4 overall prospect in the Class of 2029, Ava Gregg is one of the best (if not the best) upperweight prospect here in New York State. Finishing 4th as an 8th grader and 3rd as a freshman, she is fresh off winng both the Blatnick and Northeast Regionals. Heavily underrated, we fully anticipate a great run inside the Fargo Dome resulting in a podium finish!
