14U National Duals – Freestyle

Team Michigan followed up on their outstanding Greco tournament with another solid showing in Freestyle. After reaching the pool finals, Michigan lost a tight dual to Illinois in what came down to the last few matches. Michigan then had to see a tough Ohio team for true-2nd, where they would drop another tight dual, sending them to the Bronze/Copper pool.

In the Bronze/Copper pool, Michigan 3-1, picking up wins over Texas, Arkansas, and Maryland. Jordan Roe went undefated again, making the all-tournament team in both styles at 250lbs. Cael Tyler, Brody Ashley, and Brody Compau had just one last each, as did Gavin Boller, who went 4-1 to send his record to an overall 11-1 on the weekend. Gavin Brown had a great freestyle tournament, going 4-0.
