Historically speaking in wrestling terms upperclassmen dominate most of the state placements, so putting together grade level teams can help see talent that may start “breaking through” in the freshman and sophomore age level groups.
New York has some outstanding girls underclassmen coming through, and they certainly break away from these historical norms. The sophomores rolling through right now are no joke!
