Breakdown: Defending champ DCC takes on Mott, who are making their debut at Team State. Though the Shamrocks should advance with relative ease, Mott is going to roll out a lineup that has six state qualifiers and double-digit regional qualifiers. The Marauders should be able to snag a couple wins in the dual; expect the most competitive matches to come in the middle weights. DCC by 42.
Breakdown: First meeting between these two programs since the 2008 Team Quarterfinals, won by the Mules, who eventually reached the finals. The middle weights will likely determine the winner of this one, but probably looking at an even 7-7 match split with bonus points being the difference. Should be entertaining start to finish and expect it to be an awesome dual. Going full homer pick here though. Rockford by 3.
Breakdown: A really strange matchup here in which #3 seed Brighton takes on #6 Davison. Davison has been on fire through the individual postseason and will look to carry that in to this dual. Brighton qualified half their lineup to the state tournament last weekend, so the Dogs are also bringing a solid lineup. The Cardinals have more flexibility with their lineup, the Dogs are going to need to pick up bonus with their wins. The safe pick here is actually Davison, but it's not by much. Davision by 6.
Breakdown: Unbeaten Hartland opens up with 21-2 Macomb Dakota, which shows just how competitive the D1 bracket is from top to bottom. Hartland has rolled virtually every opponent this year and will be on a mission this weekend. This dual in particular will have a few notable matchups that we'll hopeully see - 113, 138, and 215. It's likely that Dakota keeps this one competitive but the Eagles have a little bit more firepower and balance in their lineup. Hartland by 24.
