DIVISION 1
Region 1-1: Davison the clear choice to get through, pushed by a solid Oxford team.
Region 2-1: Hartland and Clarkston should meet for the second straight year; both teams are ranked Top-5 preseason.
Region 3-1: Pretty competitive region - look for Rockford, Hudsonville, Grandville, and Byron Center all to be in the hunt.
Region 4-1: Another one that is pretty open. Brighton is the preseason pick, but will be tested by a young Grand Ledge team and Hastings, who is up from D2.
Region 5-1: Defending champs DCC should cruise through, with Livonia Franklin likely the next best squad.
Region 6-1: Westland John Glenn and Bedford likely will meet once again, but Gibraltar Carlson, also up from D2, could contend.
Region 7-1: Macomb Dakota is the preseason favorite, followed by returning semifinalist Romeo who will look to reload from a talented senior class which graduated last year.
Region 8-1: A truly wide open region. Might be too early to tell who the frontrunner is here; the last two years' winners - DeLaSalle and Tower - are both down in D2 now.
DIVISION 2
Region 9-2: Three top-ten preseason ranked teams in this region in Bay City John Glenn, Freeland, and Gaylord. BCJG-Freeland is a district matchup. On paper, Glenn has the most talented roster of the three.
Region 10-2: Goodrich should be in good position to advance, but will have to get through Fenton or Lake Fenton.
Region 11-2: A solid region with Greenville being the preseason pick. Expect Allendale and Cedar Springs to contend as well.
Region 12-2: Lowell moves south this year to a region with Hamilton, Plainwell, and Middleville. The Arrows should get through.
Region 13-2: Stevensville Lakeshore looks to be the team in this region, but Three Rivers, up from D3 has a very good lineup top to bottom and an influx of freshmen talent.
Region 14-2: District opponents Mason and Fowlerville will likely determine which squad advances to Kalamazoo. Both are preseason ranked.
Region 15-2: Look for Monroe Jefferson to once again return to Team State, as they've had a stronghold on the region for a handful of years now.
Region 16-2: Two quarterfinalists from last year - Brother Rice and DeLaSalle - are in this region and may be the two top teams to watch.
DIVISION 3
Region 17-3: Expect Kingsley and Gladstone to be the two favorites here in what should once again be a great dual.
Region 18-3: A fairly open region here. Hart is probably the preseason pick but there are a number of teams who could emerge by the end of the season.
Region 19-3: Returning finalist Whitehall looks to be in a great spot to make a deep run through this region.
Region 20-3: One of the more competitive regions in the division. Lakewood and Portland are both preseason ranked, but teams like Swan Valley, Birch Run, and Montrose will have talented rosters as well and could play spoiler.
Region 21-3: This has turned into an exciting region to follow each year. Algonac, Richmond, Yale, Lakeville, Millington, Imlay City continue to turn out tough lineups. Algonac is the early season pick.
Region 22-3: Dundee should have little issue getting through.
Region 23-3: Constantine had a breakout year last year and should be in a good spot to make another run, especially with Three Rivers moving up to D2, which clears out their path a little bit.
Region 24-3: Look for Clinton to get through this region, pushed by Adrian Madison who returns a solid lineup from top to bottom.
DIVISION 4
Region 25-4: Iron Mountain has been the team here the past few years. Look for Charlevoix to test them with a strong upperweight group leading the way.
Region 26-4: Benzie Central is the team who should get through, and may even make a deep postseason run in the tournament with a great squad returning.
Region 27-4: Really solid region headlined by St. Louis and followed by Pine River and Lakeview, who will both contend.
Region 28-4: A wide open one here and another that may be too early to tell. On paper, the preseason pick is likely Vassar.
Region 29-4: Defending champs Hudson should be in a good spot to advance.
Region 30-4: Brutal region in which #3 Manchester and #6 New Lothrop will meet up at some point. They were seeded 6th and 4th at Team State, respectively, a year ago.
Region 31-4: Tough district matchup between Bronson and Union City, with the winner being the most likely to emerge at the regionals.
Region 32-4: Competitive region lead by returning semifinalists Martin, and pushed by Decatur, Lawton, and White Pigeon. Martin is the on paper favorite heading into the year.
