AWP announces U50 Youth Wrestling Tournament series

AWP & ULTIMATES TEAM UP TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUTH WRESTLERS TO BE HONORED

The Associated Wrestling Press has announced the brand new "ULTIMATE 50" Youth Wrestling Tournament Series.  The Ultimate 50 is a Youth Tournament Series that will include state level tournaments as well as the premiere national tournaments across the country.  Wrestlers can earn points by competing and placing at these events throughout the season with a vast array of prizes and awards for the best wrestlers in the country, in each state, and each age category.

"This is the start of something that will change the landscape of Youth Wrestling," said AWP CEO Tony Greathouse, "Right now youth wrestling works very regionally and rarely do we get to see who the best kids really are nationwide.  The goal of the Ultimate 50 is to give youth wrestlers across the country an opportunity to compete and show their stuff.  We will not discriminate based on regions of the country, we hope to have all areas of the US represented in the U50 and the winners will get some amazing prizes and awards thanks to our partnership with The Ultimate Alliance and the UFC."

Among the prizes for winners will be the U50 Wrestler of The Year, Age Category winners, and State winners being invited to and honored at the UFC Ultimates in Las Vegas, NV in July.
