Recap: Tough dual for Michigan against the returning national champions. PSU fields a team with all ten wrestlers currently ranked in the top 10, although Dundee grad Braeden Davis did not wrestle at 133. Gilcher and Mattin both looked solid in losses to potential national champs, while Josh Barr (Davison HS) had a massive win for PSU at 197lbs. In the ride-outs, Cardenas secured riding time and looked to be on his way to a win before Barr picked up a last-second reversal for the win.

Recap: CMU's big four (Spidle, Shrader, Lovett, and Cramer) all just continue to win. The Chippewas currently have four nationally ranked, and that's making them tough to beat in the MAC. The Chippewas swept the weekend, beating Edinboro 23-10 and Buffalo 26-6. Against Edinboro, Shrader led the way with a tech fall, giving him bonus points in four of his last five matches. Against Buffalo, CMU won 8 matches, including Spidle's major decision at 133. That runs his winning streak up to 8 matches.
