It's always fun to look back at previous Dream Teams and see how they would have stacked up against current Dream Teams. In the hypothetical 2015 vs 2025 Dream Team dual, there is a lot of firepower, including All Americans Myles Amine and Logan Massa, as well as NCAA qualifiers Dom LaJoie, Ben Freeman, Dresden Simon, Kanen Storr, and Nate Limmex. The 2015 team would be tough to beat, but the 2025 team is also loaded, with over half the team either placing at Fargo, finishing on the podium at Super 32, or being nationally ranked (Blake Cosby, Jackson Blum, Jarrett Smith, Wyatt Lees, Nicholas Sorrow, Grayson Fuchs, Jay'Den Williams, Connor Bercume, and Gavin Craner).
Our match of the dual would be at 160lbs (or 165lbs, using today's weights). Myles Amine was a 2x D1 state champ for Detroit Catholic Central, and he won a Senior national championship in the Spring. He would go on to be the only 5x All American in Michigan history, and he took home an Olympic bronze medal in 2021. He would see Jay'Den Williams of Roseville, who is one of the most dynamic wrestlers in the country. He has multiple Fargo All American honors to his name, and he was a Grappler Fall Classic finalist at a loaded weight.
Swab finished the season as the D2 state champ in a loaded weight a year after taking 5th. He also took 5th this past September at the Grappler Fall Classic.
