Junior Women's National Duals - Freestyle

Team Michigan Blue put together another outstanding Junior women's performance, this time going 5-2 en route to a 4th place finish. The two losses came to Illinois and Missouri by a combined 10 points. Michigan was unblemished in Pool C, beating Utah, Indiana, and Colorado to reach the Gold pool. In the Gold pool, Michigan would drop duals to Illinois and Missouri that came down to the final matches. In the last dual of the tournament, Michigan beat Colorado for a second time on the weekend.

Michigan Blue was led by three individuals that went a perfect 7-0. Nakayla Dawson, Kaili Manuel, and Sabrina Nauss all went undefeated on the weekend to reach the All Tournament team. High School teammates Isabella Cepak and Tyler Swanigan also teamed up at 130lbs to combine for an 8-0 record.

Michigan also brought a second team (Red) that ultimately finished in 7th place in the Red/Blue pool. Michigan Red picked up wins over Louisiana and South Carolina in the tournament. Kennedy Perez went 9-0 to give Michigan two undefeated representatives at 110lbs, joining Nakayla Dawson from the Blue team. Gabriella Allen was also outstanding, going 8-1 for the Red team.
