Week 3 College Recap | New York

WEEKEND RECAP

The Army Black Knights were the only team to go undefeated in dual competition this weekend where they went 2-0. Their wins included a victory over #29 Purdue on second criteria and an in-state victory over a young Buffalo team. The Donny Pritzlaff era at Columbia is now underway after they split the weekend going 1-1 in dual competition.

Robbie Sagaris of Long Island upset #8 Dean Petersen (Rutgers) on Sunday at the Jersey Jostle Duals, and a battle of ranked New Yorkers went down where #9 Stevo Poulin (Northern Colorado, Shenendehowa HS) scored a win over #19 Max Gallagher (Penn, Bayport-Blue Point HS). We also saw Jaden Crumpler (Michigan State, Niagara Falls HS) crack the lineup where he won via technical fall against his opponent from Ohio University.

As mentioned above, Army went undefeated on the weekend and continues to look great early into the season. The team as a whole features seven ranked wrestlers and is currently ranked 28th as a dual team, while they are unranked in the tournament rankings.
